PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet loading device which can detect the presence/absence of sheets on the downstream side in a sheet supply direction, move up the timing of detecting shortage of sheets on a sheet loading base at the time of supply of the final sheet from the sheet loading base, suppress increase in cost even if the timing is moved up, and simplify the control configuration for detecting the presence/absence of the sheets, and an image formation apparatus having the same.SOLUTION: A sheet loading device comprises a sheet presence/absence detection part which detects the presence/absence of sheets in a sheet loading base. The sheet presence/absence detection part comprises: a single detection part; a first detection object part for turning the single detection part into the operation state or non-operation state due to the presence/absence of the sheets at a first detection position; and a second detection object part for turning the single detection part into the operation state or non-operation state due to the presence/absence of sheets at the second detection position on the upstream side with respect to the first detection position in the sheet supply direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
