An elongate conduit, defined by releasably-connected end-to-end tubular extensions (11), has quick-release connectors at its ends. The connectors attach to a vacuum cleaner hose (17) and a cleaning tool (16). At least one extension has angular ends. The connections between the extensions are rotatable or telescopically adjustable to alter the conduit length. The one extension angular ends are pref. in the form of elbows curved axially over the medial portion, the opposite ends (a8) of the elbows being straight.
