<p>PURPOSE:To prepare an antibody specific to pantreatic glucagon, by condensing a specific peptide and bovine serum albumin with glutaraldehyde, and administering the condensation product to a mammal. CONSTITUTION:An antibody specific to pancreatic glucagon can be prepared by condensing the peptide of formula (the amino acids are shown in Table I) and bovine serum albumin at a ratio of 10:20 with glutaraldehyde. The peptide of formula can be produced by condensing (A) a raw material having reactive carboxyl group and corresponding to one of the two fragments obtained by dividing the peptide at an arbitrary peptide bond with (B) a raw material having reactive amino group and corresponding to the other fragment by the method of peptide synthesis and when the produced condensation product contains protective group, removing the protecting group. The bovine serum albumin is used as a carrier of antigen and may be substituted with other proteins.</p> |
