PURPOSE:To stable the operation by limiting the load of a transistor inverter device, and adding special conditions to the oscillating frequency, thereby reducing a switching loss. CONSTITUTION:An inverter device of transistors Tr1, Tr2 connected in push-pull manner connects a DC power source E through a choke inductance L0 to the mid tap of the primary winding N1 of an oscillation transformer T, and connects a resonance capacitor C2 with the output side secondary winding N2. A load K uses inductive (or capacitive) one made of a current limiting inductance L1 and a discharge furnace DL. Either higher one of the inverter oscillating frequencies at load or no-load time of the load K is fH, and lower one is fL, and the frequency is set to become the relation of fH<1.4fL. Thus, the value of the capacitor C1 can be set to suppress a spike voltage, and the switching loss can be reduced irrespective of the operating state of the load K. |
