CONTROLLER FOR SIGNAL CONVERSION AND TRANSFER CHANNEL

PURPOSE:To speedily perform conversion and transfer processing from single length data to N-fold length data at low cost by adding a conversion and transfer switching control circuit which performs switching in synchronization with a control signal and an address holding circuit. CONSTITUTION:An address is held in the address holding circuit and the 1st single length data from a single length data storage area 4 is stored in an N-fold length data storage area 7. When next single length data is transferred to the N-fold length storage area 7, the conversion and transfer switching control circuit 12 operates a switching circuit 6 in synchronism with a signal 13 for sending out the 2nd information and an N-fold length data storage part 8 is selected to store the data. When an N-fold length data transfer counted value is, for example, 2, the N-fold length data storage clear select signal of the conversion and transfer switching control circuit 12 is cleared temporarily at two single length data transfer points of time and a next synchronizing signal 13 is expected; and the address holding circuit 14 is changed to the next address by increasing the 1st address by one.
