Profiled rubber strips for enclosing window panes in motor vehicles and for similar purposes are designed with a longitudinal groove in addition to the glass-receiving groove, into which, in the installed state, parts of the frame construction of the window engage in the manner of a flange, the outer wall of the longitudinal groove being formed, for the purpose of simplifying the mounting, as a splayable clamping lip. According to the invention, the clamping lip is formed as an articulated lever in a three-point articulation system, joined to the strip body at two bending zones via a kind of film hinge, so that it can, in the manner of a rocker switch, be pivoted alternately into two clearly defined and in each case positively fixed end positions. The invention thus provides the preconditions for the introduction of an extensively automatically or at least semi-automatically controlled mechanical mode of operation. |
