PURPOSE:To improve grinding accuracy by energizing a pair of weight bodies being housed, in a separating direction from each other by the rotating centrifugal force of a housing, and driving clamp boards in a clamping direction. CONSTITUTION:A workpiece 5 is inserted in the opening 98 of a clamp board 94, and its both ends are fixed to and held by an unshown center device. And, by rotating an unshown rotary spindle, a housing 51 is also rotated, causing housed weight bodies 71 to slide along a key 62 due to centrifugal force, against spring 117. And, the weight bodies 71 which are parted from a pin 58, is brought in contact with the inner periphery of the housing 51. Together with the movement of these weight bodies, a pair of clamp boards 74 and clamp board supporting bodies 85 are also moved in the centrifugal direction together with the pressing force of springs 115, making the rhomb of a hole 98 small to hold the workpiece 5 interposedly. Due to this construction, the workpiece can be securely held interposedly, in accordance with the condition of the outer periphery of the workpiece without damaging the workpiece, improving balance while rotating as well as grinding accuracy. |
