PURPOSE:To obtain a small-size efficient dredger by a method in which an excavating wheel provided with a wheel having pins on its periphery and a boss, having cutter knives radially set between the wheel and the boss, is pivotally provided on both sides of the tip of a suction pipe in a freely operable manner. CONSTITUTION:An excavating wheel 16 consists of a wheel 14, a boss 12, cutter knives 13 radially set between the wheel and the boss, and plural pins 15 axially provided on the periphery of the wheel 14. A pair of the excavating wheels 16 are pivotally provided on both sides of the tip of a suction pipe 7. In the neighborhood of the tip of the pipe 7, also, sprockets 19 to drive the wheels 16 and a drive 20 for the sprockets 19 are provided with couplement of the pins 15 of the wheels 16. Dredging work can thus be made with good efficiency without scattering dredged sludge by the excavating wheels 16. |
