The invention relates to a flexible container 6 for the transport and storage of bulk material, which container has fixed eyebolts 9 having openings 5 into which a lifting gear can be inserted. In the top part of the container 6 has been placed a tubular material piece 1,1' consisting of flexible material, which material piece separates off from the eyebolts 9 that part of the container 6 which is filled with bulk material. The material piece 1 is fixed along the openings 5, possibly also in the wall of the container, or tightly pressed against the said wall, by means of a lifting handle sleeve. The container 6 also incorporates a filling tube a,b,c or d, which preferably is an integral part of the material piece 1,1' and is Y or T-shaped or has a shape derived therefrom, and the members a,b,c of the letter Y or T can be equal or diverse in length and one or two of the members a,b,c can be of nil length. The members b and c in the Y or T-shaped material piece 1,1' have openings 7,7' which are fixed along the opening 5 in the eyebolts 9.
