To produce a rectangular shaped part (4) made of sheet metal with edge webs (2, 3) running around at least one corner and bent at an angle, a blank (1) which deviates in the corner area (5) of the subsequent edge webs (2, 3) from the outline of the shaped part (4) as enlarged by the web height, is subjected to a drawing operation. In order to ensure that the edge webs are straight, the blank (1) is produced in the corner area (5) of the subsequent edge webs (2, 3) with a drawing shoulder (6) which projects beyond the outline of the shaped part (4) as enlarged by the web height, allowing the edge webs (2, 3) to be bent out up to the drawing shoulder (6), after which the corner area (5) alone is drawn between the already bent edge webs (2, 3). <IMAGE> |
