The subject of the invention relates to a portable automatic device for mechanically producing plant grafts. It consists of the combination of a jack 2 supporting a framework 16 with columns 5 along which a slider 3 moves, driving a hollow punch 8, which, in a translational movement, sections the graft while retaining it and, in another translational movement sections the graft holder whilst bringing about assembly of the two elements. It is intended to permit the sectioning, and the cutting of grafts and graft holders as well as their assembly. <IMAGE>
