PURPOSE:To prevent misprinting or missing of dots from occurring due to failure in contact of electrodes, by a system wherein a recording sheet compris ing a heat-fusible solid ink layer and a resistor layer is intermediately provided between each of a plurality of conductive electrode needles and a recording paper, and a voltage is impressed between the electrodes making contact with the recording sheet to thermally melt the ink layer. CONSTITUTION:The ink layer 4 is brought into close contact with a recording paper 5, and a plurality of electrode needles 15 arranged on a head 16 at regular intervals and electrically insulated from each other are brought into contact with the surface of the resistor layer 3. A driving power source G is connected to arbitrarily selected adjacent electrode needles 15a, 15b through a switch S. With the switch S closed, an electric current I is passed, Joule's heat is locally generated between the electrode needles 15a, 15b, and the heat is transmitted to the ink layer 4, so that the solid ink at the part is melted, and is adhered to the recording paper 5, resulting in transferring and recording.
