<p>PURPOSE:To enable sheets to be positively separated one by one and transferred while its tip end is not folded and damaged by providing a sheet stopper which moves to a sheet stop position from an evacuation position when the releasing of a separating device is effected. CONSTITUTION:Only the lowermost sheet S1 is handled so as to be separated by a separating roller 26, and is transferred to No.2 paper feeding roller 30 by means of a separating belt 25. In this case, a sheet stopper 29 is in No.1 position which does not interfer the transfer of the sheet. Subsequently, a link 27A and 27B is pulled with a solenoid energized allowing the separating roller 26 to be separated from the separating belt 25. This causes the pressure contact of the separating roller 26 to be released permitting the tip end 29A of the sheet stopper 29 to be pushed by the link 27A. Then, this allows the sheet stopper to rotate clockwise permitting the tip and to move to No.2 stop position of the sheet. At this stop position, the lower end surface 29B of the sheet stopper 29 holds the tip end of following sheet groups with exception of the sheet S1 preventing them from passing through underneath the separating roller 26.</p> |
