<p>Described herein is an extruder for the manufacture of concrete slabs, in particular hollow slabs, movable in relationship with a casting mold (18). The extruder comprises a feed hopper (1), at least one screw feeder (2), for generating internal pressure in the cast concrete, and at least one core member (3, 4) for shaping a desired slab cross-section. The device in accordance with the invention comprises an assembly of at least one contoured core section (3) which peforms a combined movement of oscillating rotation and longitudinal reciprocation to generate inside the molding space a compacting shear action in the concrete mix. The device in accordance with the invention is especially applicable for the production of profiled concrete products with elongated shape at low noise and vibration levels.</p> |
