Continuous-adjustment hydraulic shock absorber. An outer casing 1, threaded 1a, 1b at its two ends, contains a cylindrical tube 2, closed by a bottom 4 and in which there slides a piston 3 extended by a rod 3a. A spanner, to be mounted on surfaces 4c of the bottom, allows a relative rotation of wedge-shaped slits 7a in a sleeve 7 with respect to restriction orifices 2a pierced in the tube 2 for the passage of a damping liquid. Application: the absorption of impacts on or vibrations of components for industrial machines. <IMAGE>
