Method for checking the functionality of an exhaust gas catalyst

It is proposed to measure the functionality of the catalyst by temperature measurements upstream and downstream of the catalyst. In the case of temperature changes in the exhaust gases flowing in or out, however, the evaluation is to be interrupted, since in these cases the signal of the temperature difference is not informative.
