PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a header recovery method capable of safely and efficiently taking out and recovering a header from a pipe port of an existing pipe, even if a pipe of a high strength material is used for the existing pipe when pulling in the header in the existing pipe to replace it by a new pipe; and a header recovery system.SOLUTION: A header recovery method comprises: a first fixture fitting step of arranging an existing pipe support member 70 having a first support face 72 around a first opening 71 through which a long rod 21 and a header 11 can pass at a position opposed to an end face 5Ba of an existing pipe end 5B in an arrival shaft 2 in an existing pipe 5, and interposing a first fixture 81 transmitting a force T1 acting on the existing pipe 5 accompanying drawing of the header 11 to the first support face 72 between the first support face 72 and the end face 5Ba; and a header drawing-out step of drawing out the header 11 entering a pipe of the existing pipe end 5B from a pipe port 5D of the existing pipe end 5B while supporting the existing pipe 5 by the first support face 72 via the first fixture 81 and taking out it through the first opening 71. |
