PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a clad plate whose metallic plates are shifted from each other, by shifting an entry roll in its axial direction, and aligning two sheets of metallic plate. CONSTITUTION:Metallic plates Pa, Pb are fed out and wound to each roll 1-4, and led out forward from a roll gap by driving to rotate each roll. On entry rolls 3, 4, a position shift detecting means 5 detects a position of edge parts of both the metallic plates Pa, Pb, and sends a detecting data to a control means 6. If the metallic plate Pa is shifted from the metallic plate Pb, the control means 6 drives a shift mechanism 7 so that the entry roll 3 is shifted. Thereafter, both the metallic plates Pa, Pb are superposed and rolled by the rolling rolls 1, 2. Next, when a roll position detecting means 10 confirms a shift of the entry roll 3, the control means 6 operates the shift mechanism 7 again and restores a position of the roll 3. At the same time, a steering roll 9 is turned by operating a turning mechanism 11, and the metallic plate Pa is moved in the direction reverse to the restoring direction of the roll 3. |
