In the case of steel pipe scaffolds which are guided around building wall corners and in which the two scaffold rows abut, passage on the two walking plates (10, 42) from one scaffold to the other is made more difficult in the abutting region as a result of the fact that the respective railing parts are guided to the end of each of the two scaffold rows. An operationally safe and user-friendly device for scaffolding a building corner with a steel pipe scaffold is indicated, in which this is not the case. This is achieved in that the second crossbar (26), which forms the bearing for the second walking plate (42), can be supported, so as not to turn about its longitudinal axis, with its end facing the scaffold inner corner on a bearing (60) which is fastened on the first walking plate (10), while its other end can be supported on the first crossbar (14) which also supports the first walking plate (10). <IMAGE>
