<p>PURPOSE:To utilize advantages of both a series and a parallel recording systems for timer recording by constituting the title device to decide either series recording or parallel recording is adopted according to the contents, time length, etc., of a program to be reserved when a timer reservation is set. CONSTITUTION:When the adoption of the series recording is decided by a timer microcomputer 31 on the basis of memory contents in timer reversing operation, the recording is performed up to reserved end time and a control signal is supplied from a timing signal generating circuit 32 to a system controller 33 at the end time to stop a tape. Said operation is repeated to record, for example, events 1, 2, and 3 in a divided track area AP2 in order. When the adoption of the parallel recording is decided, on the other hand, the recording is carried out up to the reserved end time and a control signal is supplied from the timing signal generating circuit 32 to the system controller 33 at the end time, so that the tape is rewound up to its tape top and stops. A PCM audio signal is recorded on the tape 2 while divided track areas are changed for every event.</p> |
