<p>PURPOSE:To execute satisfactorily fixing even in case of recording an address, etc. to an envelope, etc., by making a fixing pressure between both rollers weaker than a fixing pressure being suitable for fixing of general paper, in case when a transfer material is formed by superposing plural sheets of paper such as the envelope, etc. CONSTITUTION:A cassette 50 for containing an envelope is provided with a size detecting use tongue piece 53 which has been projected through a slit 52 provided on the front end of the cassette, and also an envelope detecting tongue piece 54 which has been fixed and provided on the front end of the cassette, as one body with a side fence 51 which is moved in accordance with a width of a transfer material, in order to detect a size of the envelope. When the envelope use cassette 50 is installed, an envelope detecting use tongue 54 is detected by a sensor 55 which has been provided on the corresponding position in a device. A result of detection of the sensor 55 is inputted to a CPU 57 and processed, an envelope mode is selected, and a turning position of a stepping motor 28 is controlled by a timing which has been set in advance at every envelope size from the time point when the tip of the envelope has been detected by a sense which has been provided on the upstream of a fixing device.</p> |
