<p>A catheter holder is moulded from flexible, elastic matl. to incorporate a zone which is readily gripped and pinched manually to prevent flow through the probe, e.g. while connecting the holder to a standard coupling for ancillary equipment. Facilitates one-handed manipulation to inhibit loss or contamination of material within the probe. Pref. the holder is made from polyurethane or silicone rubber and is shaped to accept a standard coupling (i.e. 'Luer-Lok' or Record-Lok' (RTM) so that the nose of the coupling prevents inadvertent squeezing of the flexible zone of the holder while the coupling is connected.</p> |
