The invention relates to a vehicle wheel with a pneumatic tyre mounted thereon and having a balancing weight, having a rigid rim which has rim flanges extending essentially radially inwards, and having a vehicle tyre which is fastened with its beads on the radially inner side of the rim next to the rim flanges, and also having in each case a covering ring which fills the space axially inwards from each tyre bead. In order after attaching a balancing weight to prevent dirt or water from penetrating between tyre bead and covering ring, it is proposed that the balancing rate be fastened on the covering ring and that the fastening be made by at least one rivet connection.
