<p>The stereoscopic endoscope comprises two identical optical conduits (1d, 1g). Each conduit is equipped with a television camera (5d, 5g) which is connected to a video recorder (6d, 6g). The apparatus comprises two video screens (7d, 7g) on which it is possible to show, in synchrony, the pairs of images filmed simultaneously by the two cameras. A binocular device (8d, 8g) allows the two images to be viewed simultaneously, so as to give a three dimensional view. A microcomputer (10) makes it possible to process the video images, digitise them and measure the dimensions of a fault in three trirectangular directions. One application is the three-dimensional observation of tumours or other parasitic tissues in the human body. <IMAGE></p> |
