PURPOSE:To prevent any loss on the performance of a lead storage battery while preventing generation of uneven concentration of an electrolytic liquid by circulating the electrolytic liquid inside a bag-shaped separator through a lifting effect of generated gas during the process of charging. CONSTITUTION:An electrode plate 1 is housed in an electrode plate housing part 2 while gas 4 is generated firstly in the electrode plate upper part 3 in the last stage of charging. A narrow part 5 is provided on the upper part of the electrode plate housing part 2 while an electrolytic liquid is pushed up to the upper liquid-level 6 through a gas lifting effect to flow out from the narrow part 5. The overflown electrolytic liquid is guided to the lower part of the electrode housing part 2 through an electrolytic liquid falling path 7 located on the side of the electrode housing part 2 for circulating. Thereby, the electrolytic liquid having hot high specific gravity near the electrode plate upper part in the last stage of charging the lead storage battery is sent to the lower part of the electrod plate through a circulation path thus preventing generation of uneven electrolytic liquid concentration. |
