In the case of a circuit arrangement for power supply, in the case of which a switched-mode power supply whose primary is pulsed is supplied with an input DC voltage which is produced by rectification of an AC voltage, and produces at least one output DC voltage whose magnitude can be regulated with the aid of a control loop, means are provided for cutting off an AC voltage which is superimposed on the input DC voltage, and for supplying the AC voltage to the control loop. As a result of this, it is possible to reduce the ripple voltage on the output DC voltage without disadvantageously increasing the size of the charging capacitor and without critically increasing the control gain. The circuit arrangement can be used advantageously in visual display units.
