A direction finder with at least one reception converter and control amplifier is indicated which guarantees continuous reception of wave energy within a broad frequency band even with the occurrence of interference, for example noise pulses. For this purpose, the frequency band is divided via band-pass filters into sub-bands, a control amplifier is connected downstream of each band-pass filter and the outputs of the control amplifiers are combined in a summing arrangement. Through the frequency-based division into sub-bands and the selection of the amplification characteristics, the band-pass filters act, with a control amplifier for high-amplitude pulse-shaped signals whose signal content falls within one of the passbands of the band-pass filters, as band-rejection filters which nevertheless allow the other sub-bands to pass through, so that overall broadband reception of the wave energy is maintained despite noise pulses. A desired transmission response can be set through selection of the passbands and the amplification characteristics.
