Double plate belt for the continuous production of laminated foam blocks

The double plate belt consists of two conveyor belts which enclose a mould cavity between them, are formed by plates lying one against the other and chains connected thereto and are guided in the form of an endless belt around deflection sprocket wheels. In order to compensate the polygon effect resulting from the deflection of the plates, and the velocity changes resulting from this, the conveyor belts are supported on running rails which are rounded in the region of their end sections and are arranged with respect to the deflection sprocket wheels in such a manner that the chain pins of the plate elements can be fed at an offset of >/= 1% of the pitch diameter to the deflection sprocket wheel and, after the rotary motion of said deflection sprocket wheel corresponding to one pitch, come completely into engagement with the deflection sprocket wheel.
