<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a photographic printing paper base prevented from blacking and undulation, advantageous also in cost, and good in smoothness by coating both sides of paper containing a cationic softening agent with polyethylene. CONSTITUTION:The paper base to be used contains the cationic softening agent, and its surfaces are, preferably, sized with polyvinyl alcohol or its modification. The softening agent to be used is the cationic one capable of self fixing to cellulose, especially preferably, such as the reaction product of a maleic anhydride copolymer and polyalkylene-polyamine and the reaction product of urethane alcohol and an alkylating agent, preferably, having a molecular weight of >=200.</p> |
