The invention serves to modernise the construction of a machine body of a winning machine, in particular a winning machine with two cutter jibs which are operated under unfavourable geological conditions, this construction permitting quick and simple assembly and dismantling of the hydraulic sub-assemblies and components as well as the mechanical sub-assemblies and components without the chambers of the machine body having to be freed of operating oil. The invention also leads to an increase in the rigidity of the winning machine and a reduction in its overall length by an appropriate arrangement of the individual sub-assemblies and components which form the internal equipment of the machine body. According to the invention, the machine body has in its housing a separate oil chamber, through which hydraulic oil cannot flow, a dry chamber with a modular pump unit, as well as a dry chamber with a modular drive unit inserted therein, the housing being provided with a bearing which is used for the articulated fastening of the cutter jib of the winning machine. <IMAGE>
