<p>PURPOSE:To convey a high temp. slab to a rolling mill as preventing a temp. drop at its cutting face by laying a heat insulating cover on the cutting face of an end part toward shifting direction of the high temp. slab at a continuous casting equipment side, which is decided as cutting slab. CONSTITUTION:The high temp. slab 1 is sheared with the settled length by a cutter, which shifts as synchronizing with the slab shifting, on a shifting direction of the slab 1 and is divided as the cutting slab 1'. The slab 1 at the continuous casting equipment side divided the cutting slab 1' is laid without delay by the heat insulating cover 3 on the end part toward shifting direction, and under such a condition, the slab 1 is started to shear by the cutter 2 while shifting. The slab 1 laid the cover 3 is removed the cover 3 just before finishing the shearing by the cutter 2, and the cutting slab 1' finished the shearing is conveyed to the rolling mill, etc. In this way, the high temp. slab is conveyed to the rolling mill, etc., as preventing the temp. drop at the cutting face.</p> |
