In extreme cold the diesel fuel forms wax particles and once the filter is clogged it is impossible to drive on and the only thing to do is have the vehicle towed away. In the case of trucks, this is especially bad because the long fuel lines from the tank to the filter are exposed to the cold airstream and wax particles are also formed. Two different heating systems are provided in this invention in order to solve this problem: a) A 200 watt immersion diesel heater in the tank rising pipe heats the fuel to 30 DEG plus as it flows through. b) A second 20 watt diesel heater in the filter keeps the fuel warm when at a standstill.
