<p>PURPOSE:To attain the mouse indication without reducing a display area to improve the operability as well as to prevent the misoperations, by using a cursor shift means, a detecting means for positions indicated by the cursor, and a pop-up display means. CONSTITUTION:A mouse 1 is operated by an operator, etc. and produces the signals proportional to the vertical and horizontal shift amounts. These signals are supplied to a PUM (pop-up) selection circuit 3 and a key buffer 4 via a mouse control circuit 2. The output of the buffer 4 is displayed on a CRT 12 via a main control circuit 5 and a picture control circuit 6. Then the button switch of the mouse 1 is operated to discriminate whether or not a cursor is set within the character area and the outer frame area of said character area in the display part of the CRT 12 via the circuit 3, a CPU control circuit 9, etc. Based on the result of said discrimination, a PUM menu corresponding to the area where the cursor is set is displayed. Thus the indication is possible with the mouse 1 without decreasing the display area. Then the operability is improved and the misoperations can be prevented with a document producing device.</p> |
