In a lubricant delivery device of a spur gear, the crown gear of an intermediate wheel is at a smaller distance from a horizontal floor of the gear box than the axis of rotation of an output wheel. The crown gears of output wheel and intermediate wheel are enclosed both by cylindrical and lateral pump encapsulation walls. A separating wall which divides the gear box into a lubricant reservoir chamber and a wheel chamber has two inlet openings which are each located at the lowest point of the two crown gears. Lubricant which is expelled by the tooth engagement between output wheel and intermediate wheel is collected in a lateral collecting device. The two cylindrical pump encapsulation walls abut one another in the region of the collecting device in a sealing fashion. In the circumferential direction, all the lateral pump encapsulation walls extend in the respective forward direction of rotation exclusively between the associated inlet opening and the tooth engagement. In this way, the amount delivered can be kept small and the level of lubricant in the wheel chamber can be kept low.
