发明名称 HEAT RESISTANT ALUMINA CARRIER
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an alumina carrier having a substantial surface area and excellent heat resistance by impregnating lanthanum at a specific ratio into transfer type alumina of high purity and heating the alumina at a high temp. CONSTITUTION:The carrier to be used as catalyst for cleaning up the exhaust gas of an automobile or combustion catalyst thereof is produced by impregnating the lanthanum into the transfer type alumina having the high purity of >=99.95% at 1.5-6wt% by the weight of the alumina, then heating the alumina for 5hr at 1,200 deg.C. The carrier having >=60m<2>/g surface area is thus obtd. The carrier obtd. in the above-mentioned manner is higher resistant to heat even when used at a high temp. of >=1,000 deg.C. The transfer of the transfer type alumina to alpha-alumina and the decrease of the surface area thereof are suppressed by the impregnation of the lanthanum.
