<p>The tunnel drying installation uses heated gases or steam to dry or 'cook' products as they move slowly through the system from an input port to an output port. The products are mounted on carriages or on racks which are moved along a conveyer system. The tunnel has outer front, rear, and side walls, and internal partial dividing walls. The internal walls divide the tunnel into five sections which have different temps.. In addition each section is divided into two or three partially closed compartments, each of which can accommodate one wagon or rack. A pipe supplies hot drying medium to the pre-heating section; the medium having been already used in the end chamber of the insatllation. The temps. are controlled by pumps and valves to achieve optimal fuel economy.</p> |
