The prosthesis comprising an anatomically shaped femoral spoon 4 suitably fixed to the base of the femur and whose anatomical smooth upper face 4a interacts with a ball joint or part composed of two upper 10 and lower 14 elements connected together by a tenon 11, the lower element 14 being metal and the upper element 10 being made of a mouldable plastic allowing complete tolerance with the organism, the metal part of the spoon 4 and the lower element 14 of the patella prosthesis being made of cast metal satisfying the standards for surgery and having on their rear faces a coating of microballs in order to present multiple small cavities for the bone fibres to penetrate therein thereby ensuring perfect biomechanical locking. <IMAGE>
