PURPOSE:To obtain a titled silicon steel sheet which is not deteriorated in characteristics even if the steel sheet is subjected to a high-temp. treatment such as stress relief annealing by forming regions having the magnetic permeability and saturation density higher than the magnetic permeability and saturation density of the base iron on the surface of the base iron of the steel sheet. CONSTITUTION:Wire-shaped different quality regions 4 which are spaced from each other at prescribed distances and extend continuously or discontinuously in the direction of the sheet width are formed on the surface of the grain oriented silicon steel sheet. The wire-shaped regions 4 consisting of a metal simple substance or alloy having the magnetic permeability and saturation flux density higher than the magnetic permeability and saturation flux density of the base iron are locally formed by a sticking method via a mask provided with many slits extending continuously or discontinuously in the width direction of the grain oriented silicon steel sheet for the above-mentioned purpose. The iron loss characteristic is thereby remarkably improved without deteriorating the magnetic permeability of the grain oriented silicon steel sheet and the excellent iron loss characteristic is not deteriorated even if the steel sheet is subjected to the high-temp. treatment such as stress relief annealing. |
