<p>An electrochemical method and apparatus for measuring a substrate as a function of electrochemical response to hydrogen peroxide concentration using immobilized enzyme electrode means, which comprises a set of planar electrodes (13, 14, 15) affixed to a base surface (11), an inner membrane (32) of a polymeric material having an enzyme bonded thereto overlying said electrodes, an outer membrane (33) adapted to restrict the passage of electrochemically interfering substances overlying the inner membrane and a housing (30) affixed to said base surface for containing said membranes, said electrodes and an aqueous sample of the substrate to be measured. A method of forming a Ag/AgCl reference electrode by electrolysis is also disclosed.</p> |
