The drilled hole protection forceps, for which patent protection is claimed, permits reliable gripping of the bone parts by parallel guidance of the carriage and fixation with a fixing screw. This double guidance of the drill prevents it from tilting and permits accurate drilling through bone parts. Movement of the carriage takes place by actuation of the upper part of the forceps. This ensures immobilisation of the lower part of the forceps. Traumatisation of the regions lying under the base of the lower part of the forceps is thereby avoided.
