A grid-type partition wall for clean rooms is composed of panel-type wall elements in the form of boards and of elongate connecting and joining elements which are designed preferably as hollow profiles. In order to be able to shut off the clean room in an absolutely particle-tight manner, while making it possible to install the partition wall easily and achieving high mechanical strength thereof, there are provided, on the border regions of the wall elements and the connecting and joining elements, mutually associated sealing surfaces, between which in each case one flexible flat gasket is arranged, the wall elements and the connecting and joining elements being connected together by bracing elements which are provided in the regions of the sealing surfaces such that they run at right angles thereto.
