Machine characterised in that it comprises a shrinking station 15 consisting of two ramps 17, 18 directing a flow of hot air through the flame of the burner 24 vertically onto the large-size parcel 8, detection and control members 16, 25 controlled from a cabinet determining the starting-up and stopping of the shrinking station 15, article by article, as a function of the speed of movement and of the size of the parcels 8. c.
