<p>Image reproducing apparatus which reproduces image signals from a magnetic tape (1) via a field memory (8) at a speed different from the recording speed. In order to automatically control the timing for writing onto the field memory (8), envelope detecting signals reproduced from the magnetic heads (2c, 2d, 2e, 2f) are compared by a comparator (6) with a reference potential thereof. The reference potential is then adjusted on the basis of a signal produced from the comparator (6), and the timing for writing onto the field memory (8) is controlled in accordance with the signal produced from the comparator (6) and resulting from the comparison with the adjusted reference voltage. The apparatus is used for a video tape recorder.</p> |
