On a mounting plate (13) there is a guide (8) on which a float (7) is moved in the directions E-F by the liquid level A-B. The throughflow pipe (14) is opened C and closed D by a pivot slide valve (1) when the float (7) with the eyelet (6), by means of the regulating rod (5), pivots the spindle (3), on which the pivot slide valve (1) is fastened, in the mounting of the securing means (4). Consequently, the quantity flowing through from the area K into the area L is regulated by the pipe (14) in a predetermined manner. The throughflow regulator is positioned in front of or behind the openings which are to be regulated. <IMAGE>
