<p>Cleaning device comprising two manifolds (5, 6) arranged in a fixed position inside the rotary drum (1) carrying the knives (4) in the top part of the drum, so as to produce two jets (11, 12) of fluid under pressure which are directed in opposition outwards, intersecting outside the trajectory (13) of the knives, to detach the fibres straddling the knife blades and to remove them outside the drum.
