<p>A dynamo for bicycles has a housing (1) which contains a stator (2) and a rotor (3) and can be secured to a bicycle. The rotor (3) can be rotated by a driving part (4) which can be driven by a bicycle wheel. The driving part (4) is mounted so as to rotate with the wheel around an axle (6) of the wheel and forms a part of a gear (7) of the dynamo which can be engaged and disengaged and rotates the rotor (3) depending on the turning of the wheel. The dynamo is arranged with its driving part (4) coaxial to the axle (6) of the wheel and is mounted in a rotation-resistant manner on the axle (6) of the wheel, whereas the stator (2) and the rotor (3) are eccentric to the axle (6) of the wheel. The driving part (4), formed as a revolving housing cover, has an engaging and disengaging element (22) with a catch (38) that can be slid between the spokes of the wheel in order to transmit the movement.</p> |
