PURPOSE:To make it possible to highly accurately perform compound winding of long fibers in a short time by a method wherein a guide, on which a plurality of parallel air space parts are equipped, and guide bars are provided on a carriage traverse so as to forcibly shift fibers with the guide bar. CONSTITUTION:An eye equipped with a plurality of parallel air space parts 11, through each of which at least one long resin-impregnated fiber is passed, is provided so as to pass helical paths A' by means of portions 11a, each of which is normal to the rotary shaft C of a mandrel, and to pass hoop paths A'' by means of portions 11b, each of which is parallel to the shaft C, of the air space parts. Guide bars 12a and 12b, the respective axis center lines of which are directed parallel to the rotary shaft C of the mandrel 5, are arranged so as to be shiftably normal to the shaft C. By means of driving means 14a and 14b such as cylinder actuators or servo motors connected to supporting arms 13a and 13b at both ends of the guide bars, the guide bar 12b is translated to the center side of the eye on the eye 10 when the turning to helical winding is intended, while the guide bar 12a is translated to the center side of the eye when the shifting to hoop winding is intended. |
