Device making it possible to double up the hand of a watch or clock and in particular the single hand of a watch or clock making one dial revolution in 24 hours. The invention relates to a device making it possible simultaneously to indicate, by doubling up the hand, the time somewhere else in the world located in another time zone. It consists of a lever L accessible from a thumb wheel M or other button outside the dial which enables the upper hand A to be disengaged with respect to the lower hand B, then to be offset by a double worm screw V and W or manually, and finally to be accurately engaged on B by virtue of the 48 ribs or sprockets which fit together and hold the two hands at the same horizontal angle. The device according to the invention is adaptable to large- and small-scale production of currently existing or future watches and clocks. <IMAGE>
