A ball ventilator, in particular for seat ventilation in vehicles such as buses, aircraft or the like, has a ventilator body (11) which has a spherical surface on the outside and is mounted so as to be spatially movable in the manner of a ball joint, an essentially tubular insert body (13) which is rotatable in said body but arranged so as to be axially non-displaceable and has an external actuating element (15), and a central valve body (14) which is surrounded by the insert body (13) and engages by means of essentially radial extensions (21) through approximately helically arranged slot-shaped control guides (20) of the insert body (13) and is mounted so as to be non-rotatable with respect to the ventilator body (11) but displaceable in the axial direction.
