In certain combustion engines, previously atomised fuel is forced into cylinders, filled with compressed air, and ignited. The said fuel vaporiser improves the existing type of fuel feed in that the fuel is converted into vapour before it is fed into the cylinders either in that the fuel fed in is ignited and the resulting flame gives rise to a further fuel feed for vaporisation, or in that electrical heating causes the vaporisation until suitable heat is produced inside the engine block by engine starting in order to introduce the further fuel feed for vaporisation, so that the heating is abandoned and switched off. After switching off the engine, the residual fuel vapour existing and still being produced is led back into the fuel feed and condensed. A tensioning spring in an associated switch gear may replace or boost an existing control weight and thereby improve an operating function as required.
